BASIC SCRIPTURE: NUMBERS 14:10-14 (KJV)

10. But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.

11. And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

12. I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

13. And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people from among them by thy might,)

14. And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

BASIC SCRIPTURE: JEREMIAH 42:11-19 (KJV)

11. Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

12. And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

13. But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,

14. Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:

15. And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;

16. Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.

17. So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

18. For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

19. The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, let Your glory appear in every situation where the enemy has gathered to stone my destiny. Silence the voice of rebellion against me. (Numbers 14:10)

2. Lord, forgive me for every time I have provoked You by unbelief, despite all the signs You have shown me. (Numbers 14:11)

3. Father, give me the spirit of Moses — an intercessor who stands in the gap for a rebellious people, not one who celebrates their judgment. (Numbers 14:13-14)

4. Lord, let my prayers be motivated by concern for Your name and Your reputation among the nations, not by selfish ambition. (Numbers 14:13-14)

5. Father, I receive Your word today: “Be not afraid.” Remove every fear of the enemy, whether king, situation, or threat. (Jeremiah 42:11)

6. Lord, I declare that You are with me to save me and to deliver me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. (Jeremiah 42:11)

7. Father, deliver me from the temptation to run to Egypt — to false安全感, human solutions, and places You have not sent me. (Jeremiah 42:13-14)

8. Lord, help me to obey Your voice even when the alternative looks safer, quieter, and more comfortable. I will not set my face to go where You have forbidden. (Jeremiah 42:15-19)

DECLARATIONS

1. I declare that the glory of the Lord shall appear in my situation today. Every stone meant for me is scattered by His presence.

2. I refuse to provoke the Lord by unbelief. I choose to believe His signs, His Word, and His promises over my fears.

3. I am an intercessor like Moses. I stand in the gap for my family, my nation, and my generation — not for judgment, but for mercy.

4. The Lord is with me to save me and to deliver me. I will not be afraid of any king, enemy, or circumstance.

5. I will not run to Egypt. I will not trade God’s will for false safety, human solutions, or temporary comfort.

6. The sword, famine, and pestilence that follow disobedience shall not touch me because I obey the voice of the Lord.

7. I am not an execration, an astonishment, a curse, or a reproach. I am blessed, favoured, and protected by the Most High God.

8. I have been admonished by the Lord this day, and I choose the path of obedience, not the path of fear-driven escape.

ADDITIONAL REFLECTION

Key Verse (Numbers): Numbers 14:11 — “How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?”

Key Verse (Jeremiah): Jeremiah 42:11 — “Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.”

The Great Temptation:

• Israel in Numbers: Wanted to stone God’s messengers and return to Egypt.

• Remnant in Jeremiah: Wanted to flee to Egypt for safety, against God’s command.

The Common Thread: In both passages, Egypt represents fear-driven disobedience — running to a familiar bondage instead of trusting God in an unfamiliar battle.

Question for the Day: Where is your “Egypt” — the place you run to when you are afraid instead of trusting God?
