BASIC SCRIPTURE: ESTHER 2:11-17 (KJV)

11. And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women’s house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.

12. Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

13. Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king’s house.

14. In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.

15. Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

16. So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

17. And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, raise up Mordecai intercessors around me — those who walk daily before my destiny, praying and watching over what shall become of me. (Esther 2:11)

2. Lord, prepare me in the hidden place. Let the twelve months of purification — the oil of myrrh and sweet odours — work in my life before my season of manifestation. (Esther 2:12)

3. Father, when my turn comes to stand before the king, let me not rely on my own desires or decorations. Let me take only what the Hegai of heaven appoints for me. (Esther 2:13, 15)

4. Lord, let me obtain favour in the sight of all that look upon me — not by manipulation, but by Your divine grace upon my life. (Esther 2:15)

5. Father, let the king’s heart be turned toward me. Let me be taken into the royal house in my appointed month and year. (Esther 2:16)

6. Lord, let me be loved above all others in my generation. Let me obtain grace and favour more than all my contemporaries. (Esther 2:17)

7. Father, set the royal crown upon my head. Let there be a divine change of position — from the house of preparation to the throne of influence. (Esther 2:17)

8. Lord, let me not be a one-night encounter. Let the King delight in me and call me by name permanently. (Esther 2:14, 17)

DECLARATIONS

1. I declare that there are Mordecais watching over my destiny. I am not forgotten. My name is being called in high places.

2. I embrace the twelve months of preparation. The oil of myrrh and sweet odours are working in me for my royal destiny.

3. When my turn comes, I will not need to add or subtract from what heaven has appointed for me. Divine favour is my portion.

4. I obtain favour in the sight of all that look upon me. No eye sees me without seeing the grace of God upon my life.

5. This is my tenth month, my seventh year — my appointed time. I am being taken into my royal house.

6. I am loved above all others in my assignment. I obtain grace and favour more than my competitors.

7. The royal crown is set upon my head. I am not a concubine; I am a queen. I am not an option; I am the choice.

8. The King delights in me. He calls me by name. I will not be a temporary visitor; I am a permanent resident in His palace.

Key Verse: Esther 2:17 — “And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.”

• Other maidens: Took whatever they desired (verse 13) — human effort.

• Esther: Required nothing but what Hegai appointed (verse 15) — divine direction.
