PRAYER POINTS

Father, I thank You that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Your grace is greater than my sin.

The Law and Sin (Romans 5:20):
The law was given to reveal sin. It showed the standard of God’s holiness and exposed human failure. The law entered so that the offence might abound. It revealed how far humanity had fallen. But that is not the end of the story. Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Grace is greater than sin. Grace is more powerful than sin. Grace is more abundant than sin. Sin may be great, but grace is greater.
Grace Abounded:
The word “abounded” means to overflow, to exceed, to be more than enough. Grace does not just cover sin. It overflows it. It exceeds it. It is more than enough to meet every need. No matter how great your sin, God’s grace is greater. No matter how deep your failure, God’s grace is deeper. No matter how many times you have fallen, God’s grace is sufficient.
Rich in Mercy (Ephesians 2:4):
God is rich in mercy. He does not just have a little mercy. He has an abundance of mercy. He is wealthy in mercy. And He loved us with a great love. His love is not small. It is not conditional. It is not based on our worth. It is based on His nature. He is love. He is mercy. He is grace.
Dead in Sins (Ephesians 2:5):
We were dead in sins. Dead people cannot save themselves. Dead people cannot respond. Dead people cannot choose. But God, in His mercy, quickened us together with Christ. He made us alive. He gave us life. He raised us from spiritual death. By grace, we are saved. Not by our effort. Not by our works. By grace.
Raised and Seated (Ephesians 2:6):
God did not just save us from death. He raised us up together with Christ. He made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We are not just forgiven. We are elevated. We are seated with Christ. We share His position. We share His victory. We share His reign. This is the grace of God.
The Exceeding Riches of His Grace (Ephesians 2:7):
God saved us so that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace. His grace is not just for this life. It is for all eternity. He will continue to pour out His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus forever. His grace has no end. His kindness has no limit.
By Grace Through Faith (Ephesians 2:8-9):
Salvation is by grace through faith. It is not of works. It is a gift. It cannot be earned. It cannot be bought. It cannot be deserved. It is freely given. And because it is a gift, no one can boast. We cannot say, “I earned it.” We cannot say, “I deserved it.” We can only say, “Thank you.” God gets all the glory. He saved us. He gave us life. He seated us with Christ. He will show us His grace forever.
Grace Is Not a License:
Grace is not a license to sin. It is power to live righteously. The same grace that saves you also teaches you to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. Grace does not make sin small. It makes God great. Grace does not encourage rebellion. It enables obedience. Grace is not cheap. It cost Christ His life. And it transforms yours.

Do you understand that grace is greater than your sin? Do you know that you are saved by grace through faith, not by works? And are you walking in the exceeding riches of His grace, living righteously by His power?
