REVELATION 15:1–8 (KJV)

1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION

Revelation 15 is a vision of preparation for the final outpouring of God’s wrath—the seven last plagues that complete His judgment on the earth. But before the judgment is released, John sees a glorious sight: those who have overcome the beast, his image, his mark, and the number of his name. They are standing on a sea of glass mingled with fire, holding harps of God, singing two great songs: the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb.

This passage is a reminder that even in the midst of judgment, God’s people are victorious. They are not victims of the plagues; they are worshippers standing on the sea of glass. Their victory did not come easily—they overcame the beast, his image, his mark, and his number. This speaks of tribulation, persecution, and refusal to compromise. Yet they stand, they sing, and they worship.

The Song of Moses (Exodus 15) celebrates deliverance from Pharaoh and the Red Sea. The Song of the Lamb celebrates deliverance from sin, Satan, and death through the blood of Jesus. Together, they proclaim that God’s works are great and marvellous, His ways are just and true, and He alone is holy.

The chapter ends with the temple in heaven opened, seven angels emerging with seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, and the temple filled with smoke from God’s glory and power. No one could enter until the plagues were fulfilled. This emphasizes the holiness and sovereignty of God—judgment is His strange work, but it is just and necessary.

4. Lord, let me be counted among those who hold the harps of God—not harps of complaint, but instruments of praise and worship. (Revelation 15:2)

5. Father, teach me the Song of Moses—the song of deliverance from bondage. Let me never forget that You brought me out of Egypt, out of slavery to sin. (Revelation 15:3)

6. Lord, teach me the Song of the Lamb—the song of redemption through the blood of Jesus. Let me never lose the wonder of my salvation. (Revelation 15:3)

7. Father, I declare that great and marvellous are Your works. Just and true are Your ways. You are the King of saints, and I worship You. (Revelation 15:3)

8. Lord, who shall not fear You and glorify Your name? For You only are holy. Let reverence for You fill my heart and guide my steps. (Revelation 15:4)

9. Father, I pray for the nations. Let all nations come and worship before You. Let Your judgments be made manifest, and let the earth know that You alone are God. (Revelation 15:4)

10. Lord, fill Your temple—my body, my home, my church—with the smoke of Your glory and power. Let Your presence be so manifest that no flesh can glory in Your presence. (Revelation 15:8)

DECLARATIONS

1. I declare that I have the victory over the beast, over his image, over his mark, and over the number of his name. I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.

2. I declare that I stand on the sea of glass, mingled with fire—not sinking, not burning, but standing firm in the power of God.

3. I declare that I hold the harps of God. My mouth shall be filled with praise, not with grumbling or fear.

4. I declare that I sing the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb: Great and marvellous are Your works, Lord God Almighty!

5. I declare that God’s ways are just and true. Even when I do not understand His judgments, I trust His character.

6. I declare that the Lord alone is holy. There is no one like Him. I will fear Him, glorify His name, and worship Him all my days.

7. I declare that all nations shall come and worship before Him. The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

8. I declare that the temple of God—my body—is open to His presence. I am not shut out from His glory; I am a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.

9. I declare that the wrath of God is not for me. I have been saved from wrath through Jesus Christ, who died for me.

10. I declare that I am a victor, not a victim. I stand with the overcomers, I sing with the redeemed, and I worship the King of saints forever.
