John 10:37–40

37 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
39 Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.
40 And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptizing at first, and there He stayed.

Mark 6:17–19

17 For Herod himself had sent and laid hold of John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife; for he had married her.
18 For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
19 Therefore Herodias held a grudge against him and wanted to kill him, but she could not;

1. Pray for Discernment to Recognize God’s Works
   “Father, open my eyes to see and recognize Your hand at work in my life and in the world. Let the evidence of Your power lead me into deeper belief, even when circumstances are confusing.”

2. Pray for Courage to Speak Truth
   “Lord, give me the boldness of John the Baptist to speak Your truth with love and conviction, even when it is unpopular or risks opposition. Guard my heart from fear of man.”

3. Pray for Divine Protection and Escape
   “As Jesus escaped the hands of those who sought to seize Him, I pray for Your protection over my life, family, and purpose. Make a way of escape from every hidden trap or plot.”

4. Pray Against the Spirit of Herodias (Grudge & Retaliation)
   “I break every spirit of offense, grudge, and retaliation operating against me or within me. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse and heal every wounded place that could hold bitterness.”

5. Pray for Wisdom in Times of Opposition
   “Grant me wisdom to know when to stand and when to withdraw, as Jesus moved to a place of refuge. Guide my steps away from unnecessary conflict and into Your perfect timing.”

6. Pray for Faith Anchored in God’s Nature
   “Help my faith to rest not only in what You do, but in who You are. Even if I don’t understand Your ways, let Your works testify of Your unwavering character.”

🔊 Declarations

1. I declare that the works of God in my life are undeniable evidence of His presence and power. My faith is strengthened by what I see Him do.

2. I declare I have the courage to speak God’s truth with conviction and grace, regardless of the cost. My voice will not be silenced by fear.

3. I declare divine protection over my life. No weapon, plot, or scheme formed against me shall prosper, and God will provide a way of escape in times of danger.

4. I declare I am free from grudges, bitterness, and retaliation. I walk in forgiveness and love, and I reject every assignment of hatred sent against me.

5. I declare I operate with divine wisdom—knowing when to advance and when to retreat. My steps are ordered by the Lord.

6. I declare my faith is rooted in the unchanging nature of God. Even when I cannot trace His hand, I trust His heart.

⚔️ Key Insight

Today’s scriptures contrast two responses to truth:

• In John 10, Jesus points to His works as proof of His identity, yet many still reject Him.

• In Mark 6, John the Baptist speaks truth to power, and faces imprisonment for it.

Your stand for truth is never in vain.
Even when rejected or opposed, it bears witness to the God who is both Truth and Power.
