DAY 4 – THANKSGIVING FOR THE POWER OF GOD THAT MOVES MOUNTAINS
Theme: Mountain Movers
The RCCG Annual Convention is a time of divine visitation, supernatural encounters, and mountain-moving faith. As we prepare for this convention, we embark on a season of fasting and prayer, focusing each day on a specific theme that aligns our hearts with God’s purposes.
Day 4 is dedicated to Thanksgiving for the Power of God that Moves Mountains. We give thanks to God for His power that removes obstacles, breaks down barriers, and makes a way where there seems to be no way.
Why Thanksgiving for Mountain-Moving Power?
1. God Has Moved Mountains in the Past
The Bible is filled with testimonies of God’s mountain-moving power. He parted the Red Sea. He brought down the walls of Jericho. He raised Jesus from the dead. He has moved mountains in your life before—and He will do it again. Thanksgiving is the acknowledgment of His past faithfulness.
“O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.” — Psalm 136:1
2. God Is Moving Mountains Now
Even in this season, God is at work. He is removing obstacles, breaking chains, and opening doors. Thanksgiving is not just about what He has done—it is about what He is doing. As you give thanks, your faith is activated, and you position yourself to see His power manifest.
3. God Will Move Mountains in the Future
The mountains before you—of sickness, debt, marital delay, career stagnation, spiritual warfare—are not permanent. The same God who moved mountains in the past will move them in your future. Thanksgiving is the declaration of faith that what God has promised, He is able to perform.
What Does It Mean to Give Thanks for Mountain-Moving Power?
1. Acknowledge the Source of the Power
The power to move mountains does not come from human effort—it comes from God. When you give thanks, you are acknowledging that God is the source of every breakthrough, every victory, every testimony.
2. Declare Your Confidence in God
Thanksgiving is not just words—it is a declaration of faith. When you thank God for moving mountains, you are declaring: “I believe that God is bigger than this problem. I believe that the mountain is not permanent. I believe that God is already at work.”
3. Activate the Power of God
Thanksgiving is a weapon. When you give thanks, you are activating the power of God in your situation. The enemy is silenced. Your faith is strengthened. The mountain begins to move.
