GENESIS 6:1–8 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, deliver me from every wrongful spiritual marriage and covenant that has polluted my destiny. Let every illegitimate union be dissolved by the blood of Jesus. (Based on Gen. 6:1–2)

Lord, I pray that Your Spirit will not depart from me. Let Your striving with my soul continue until I fulfill Your purpose for my life. (Based on Gen. 6:3)

The Contrast Between Genesis 6 and Numbers 23:19

Key Insights
1. The Danger of Unequal Yoking (Genesis 6:1–2)
The “sons of God” (believers, godly line) marrying “daughters of men” (unbelievers, ungodly line) led to corruption, giants, and judgment. This is a warning about spiritual compromise in relationships, covenants, and alliances.
2. The Grief of God (Genesis 6:6)
God feels. He is not distant or unemotional. Your choices can grieve His heart. But His grief is not abandonment — it is the pain of love watching a beloved child walk into destruction.
3. Grace in the Midst of Judgment (Genesis 6:8)
“Noah found grace.” Even when the world is corrupt, grace is available. You don’t have to go down with the generation. One person walking with God can change their destiny.
4. The Unchanging God (Numbers 23:19)
Unlike man who lies, changes his mind, or fails to keep promises, God is absolutely reliable. His character does not shift. His Word does not return void. His promises over your life are secure — even when you fail, His grace abounds.
The Noah Principle
“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” (Genesis 6:8)
Noah lived in a corrupt generation. Everyone around him was wicked. Yet he was different. Why? Not because he was perfect, but because he found grace. Grace is unmerited favor. It is God’s hand on you even when you don’t deserve it.
You can be a Noah in your family, your workplace, your generation. Grace is available.
Question for Your Meditation
Is there any “unequal yoking” in your life — a relationship, partnership, or covenant — that is pulling you away from God? And are you standing on God’s unchanging promises, or are you shaken by the corruption around you?
CLOSING PRAYER
Father, I thank You that even in a corrupt generation, You have grace for me. Like Noah, I find grace in Your eyes.
Lord, break every wrongful spiritual union that has polluted my destiny. Let every giant born of corruption fall before me. Purify my heart and my imagination. Let me never grieve Your Spirit.
I stand on Your unchanging Word. You are not a man that You should lie. Every promise You have spoken over my life, You will make it good. You do not repent of Your good plans for me.
Make me a Noah in my generation — righteous, blameless, walking with You, and separate from the corruption around me.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
