BASIC SCRIPTURES: ZECHARIAH 12: 1-10 ISAIAH 28: 11-12

📖 Basic Scriptures (KJV):

ZECHARIAH 12:1-10
1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

ISAIAH 28:11-12
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

🙏 Prayer Points:

  1. Pray for Divine Defense over Your Life and Territory
    *Based on Zechariah 12:2-4*
    “Father, as You promised to make Jerusalem a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone to her enemies, I ask that You arise as my Defender. Make my life, family, and church a place where enemy sieges fail. Smite every attack with confusion and blindness, in Jesus’ name.”

  2. Pray for the Spirit of Grace and Supplication
    Based on Zechariah 12:10
    “Lord, pour upon me and upon Your church the spirit of grace and supplications. Give me a heart that genuinely seeks You in prayer and mourns over sin. Let my heart look upon Christ, the pierced One, with fresh repentance and love.”

  3. Pray for Strength and Unity Among God’s People
    *Based on Zechariah 12:5-8*
    “God, cause Your people to find their strength in You alone. Make our leaders like a flaming fire among wood. Let the weak among us become as David, and let Your church be united and mighty in spiritual warfare.”

  4. Pray for Divine Rest and Refreshing
    *Based on Isaiah 28:11-12*
    “Father, You have ordained rest and refreshing for Your weary people. Where I have been striving, anxious, or worn, speak Your word of rest to my soul. Help me to hear and obey, that I may enter into Your promised rest.”

  5. Pray Against Spiritual Deafness and Disobedience
    Based on Isaiah 28:12
    “Lord, deliver me from a stubborn heart that refuses to hear Your voice. Whether You speak through Your Word, prophecy, or circumstances, give me a receptive spirit to obey promptly and fully.”

  6. Pray for Jerusalem and Israel
    *Based on Zechariah 12:6-9*
    “Father, remember Your covenant with Israel. Protect Jerusalem, confound every gathering of nations against her, and bring Your people to salvation through Jesus Christ, the Messiah they pierced.”

  7. Pray for Personal Empowerment in Weakness
    Based on Zechariah 12:8
    “Lord, in my areas of feebleness, make me as David—courageous, anointed, and victorious. Let Your strength be perfected in my weakness, and let my life manifest Your angelic protection and guidance.”

🗣️ Declarations:

  1. I declare that the Lord is my Defender. He makes my life a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone to every enemy. No siege against me shall prosper. (Zechariah 12:2-3)

  2. I declare that the spirit of grace and supplications is poured out upon me. I look to Jesus, the pierced One, with a heart of repentance and faith. (Zechariah 12:10)

  3. I declare that I am strong in the Lord. Even in my weakness, I am as David—anointed and victorious. The Lord defends me and my household. (Zechariah 12:8)

  4. I declare that I enter into God’s rest and refreshing. I hear His voice and obey, therefore I walk in divine peace and renewal. (Isaiah 28:12)

  5. I declare that I have a hearing heart. I am not stubborn; I receive God’s word and act upon it promptly. (Isaiah 28:11-12)

  6. I declare God’s protection over Jerusalem and Israel. The Lord will defend His people and fulfill every covenant promise to them. (Zechariah 12:9)

  7. I declare that the governors of Judah—God’s leaders—are like a torch of fire. The church is empowered to devour every opposition, right and left, in Jesus’ name. (Zechariah 12:6)
