Today’s devotional emphasis is on Vs. 2 and 3 of our basic scripture: “So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding.” Note again: “IF THOU CRIEST AFTER KNOWLEDGE AND LIFTEST UP THY VOICE FOR UNDERSTANDING.” That means wisdom comes from the crave for, and application of knowledge! Then you need understanding to master wisdom and be on top of every situation! The Word of God is the custodian of wisdom that keeps you in charge and in control. If you want to be a wisdom centre in this 2nd half of 2026, then your personal Bible study cannot be compromised. YOU MUST BE A WORD WARRIOR AND A PRAYER WARRIOR! Profitable Bible study involves more than just opening to a chapter and reading what is there. Haddon W. Robinson explains seven guidelines to helping you make the most of your study of the Bible: 1.Set aside a regular time. Unless you schedule it, you’ll neglect it. 2.Before you start reading, ask God for help and understanding. 3. Carefully think (meditate) about what you are reading. Not all of the Bible’s treasures lie like pebbles on the surface. 4. Seek to understand what the author was saying to the first people who read the book/letter before you decide how to apply it today. 5. Write down at least one truth or principle you can put into practice. 6. Try different translations of the Bible. If you find yourself confused over certain words, a new translation may focus your mind on the passage in a new way. 7.Don’t get discouraged! Some parts of the Bible are more interesting than others, but there’s enough that you can understand, and it will create a NEW FIRE in your PRAYER life!So, read the Word daily, with these principles in mind! In these days of ONLINE CHURCHES AND PRAYERS, don’t be lazy about your PERSONAL BIBLE STUDY/QUIET TIME daily!That is the secret of breakthroughs that will cause your testimony to be VERY LOUD! It is the WORD that creates a FIRE of prayer in you! Be a WORD WARRIOR and a PRAYER WARRIOR!
