And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, let the blast of Your nostrils gather the waters of the enemy and cause them to stand as a heap before me. Let every flood of opposition be stopped.

Lord, let the depths be congealed in the heart of the sea. Let every deep-rooted plan of the enemy be frozen and paralyzed.

Father, let smoke go up from Your nostrils and fire from Your mouth. Let every enemy be devoured by the fire of Your presence.
-
Lord, bow the heavens and come down in my situation. Let darkness be under Your feet and let Your glory be revealed.

Father, ride upon the cherub and fly upon the wings of the wind. Come swiftly to my deliverance.

Lord, make darkness Your secret place. Hide me in the shadow of Your pavilion until the storms of the enemy pass over.

Father, let Your thunder be heard in the heavens. Let Your voice scatter every enemy and discomfit every foe.

Lord, send out Your arrows and lightnings. Let every chain of the enemy be broken and every stronghold be destroyed.
DECLARATIONS

I declare that the blast of God’s nostrils gathers the waters of the enemy. The floods stand upright as a heap before me.

The depths of the sea are congealed. Every deep plan of the enemy is frozen and cannot move against me.

Smoke goes up from God’s nostrils, and fire from His mouth. My enemies are devoured by the fire of His presence.

The heavens are bowed, and God comes down. Darkness is under His feet, and His glory is revealed in my situation.

God rides upon a cherub and flies upon the wings of the wind. He comes swiftly to my deliverance.

God makes darkness His secret place. I am hidden in His pavilion, safe from the storms of the enemy.

The Lord thunders in the heavens. His voice scatters my enemies and discomfits every foe.

The arrows and lightnings of God are sent out. Every chain is broken, and every stronghold is destroyed.

Key Verse (Psalm): Psalm 18:14 — “Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.”
The Blast of His Nostrils (Exodus 15:8):
This is part of Moses’ song of deliverance after the Red Sea crossing. The blast of God’s nostrils gathered the waters. The floods stood upright as a heap. The depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. This is a picture of God’s sovereign power. The waters that threatened Israel were held back by the breath of God. He spoke, and they obeyed. He breathed, and they stood still. God’s power over creation is absolute.
Smoke, Fire, and Coals (Psalm 18:8):
Psalm 18 is David’s song of deliverance from his enemies. In verses 8-15, he describes God’s appearance in battle. Smoke goes up from His nostrils. Fire from His mouth devours. Coals are kindled by it. This is not a tame God. This is a warrior God. He comes in judgment. He comes in power. He comes to destroy the enemies of His people. Your God is a consuming fire.
He Bowed the Heavens (Psalm 18:9):
God does not remain distant. He bows the heavens and comes down. He does not send a messenger. He comes Himself. He descends into your situation. He enters your battle. He rides upon a cherub and flies upon the wings of the wind. He comes swiftly. He comes with power. He is not slow to deliver.
Darkness His Secret Place (Psalm 18:11):
God makes darkness His secret place. His pavilion is surrounded by dark waters and thick clouds. This is not frightening. This is protective. He hides in the darkness. He is concealed from the enemy. He is not vulnerable. He is mysterious. He is unsearchable. And He hides you in that same pavilion.
Hailstones and Coals of Fire (Psalm 18:12-13):
At the brightness before Him, the thick clouds pass. Hailstones and coals of fire come down. The Lord thunders in the heavens. He gives His voice. This is the voice of judgment. This is the voice that scatters enemies. This is the voice that shakes the foundations of the world.
Arrows and Lightnings (Psalm 18:14):
He sends out His arrows and scatters them. He shoots lightnings and discomfits them. The enemy is scattered, confounded, and defeated. He does not need an army. He does not need a strategy. He sends His arrows, and they scatter. He shoots lightnings, and they are discomfited. This is the power of God.
The Foundations Discovered (Psalm 18:15):
At His rebuke, the channels of waters are seen, and the foundations of the world are discovered. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is stable. Everything is exposed. Everything is shaken. The blast of the breath of His nostrils reveals what was hidden. God’s judgment uncovers what man has tried to conceal.
The Breath of God:
The blast of His nostrils is the breath of God. It is the same breath that gave life to Adam. It is the same breath that parted the Red Sea. It is the same breath that will consume the wicked. God’s breath is powerful. It creates. It delivers. It judges. It destroys. And it can be directed at your enemies. Do not be afraid of the battle. The blast of God’s nostrils is on your side.
Question for the Day:
Do you believe that God fights for you? Do you trust that He bows the heavens and comes down to deliver you? Do you know that His fire and His lightnings are aimed at your enemies? Rest in His power. He will fight for you. You only need to be still.
