BASIC SCRIPTURE FOR 5TH JANUARY 2026 (KJV)

Esther 4:5-17 (King James Version):

5 Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
6 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king’s gate.
7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10 Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
11 All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
12 And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

Prayer Points for 5th January 2026

1. Prayer for Divine Awareness and Revelation:
   “Father, open my eyes to the critical situations around me that require my intercession and action. Do not let me be ignorant or insulated from the needs of my family, community, or nation. Reveal to me my specific role in Your plan of deliverance.” (Esther 4:5-8)

2. Prayer to Embrace God’s Purpose for My Life:
   “Lord, uproot every thought of self-preservation that makes me shrink from my divine assignment. Speak to my heart as Mordecai spoke to Esther: remind me that I have been positioned ‘for such a time as this.’ Help me to fully embrace my purpose without fear.” (Esther 4:13-14)

3. Prayer for the Courage to Face the “King”:
   “Grant me the courage of Esther to step into my moment of favor, even when it involves risk. I break the spirit of fear and intimidation. I declare I will approach every ‘inner court’ of challenge, authority, or opportunity, trusting in Your sovereign favor to extend the golden scepter of acceptance to me.” (Esther 4:11, 16)

4. Prayer for the Power of Corporate Fasting and Prayer:
   “Lord, as I face my great challenge, I commit to seeking You with all my strength. I call upon my spiritual family to unite with me in focused prayer and fasting. Let our collective supplication move Your hand to perform miracles and reverse every evil decree.” (Esther 4:16)

5. Prayer of Surrender and Trust:
   “I surrender the outcome to You, O God. Like Esther, I say, ‘If I perish, I perish.’ My life, destiny, and success are in Your hands. I step out in obedience, trusting that whether in life or death, Your name will be glorified and Your purpose will be established.” (Esther 4:16)

Declarations for 2026

1. I declare I am spiritually alert. God reveals to me the hidden plots of the enemy, and I am not caught off guard.

2. I declare I understand my divine placement. I have been brought into my family, job, and community for such a time as this, and I will not remain silent.

3. I declare I possess supernatural courage. I will step into risky places ordained by God, and I will receive favor and acceptance.

4. I declare my prayers are backed by the power of corporate fasting. As I seek God with others, every evil decree against my life and destiny is reversed and destroyed.

5. I declare my life is surrendered to God’s will. I am committed to His purpose, and my obedience will lead to great deliverance and promotion.

May you rise up in your appointed hour, supported by prayer, and may you witness a great reversal of every evil plan, leading to your deliverance and the salvation of many.
