BASIC SCRIPTURE (KJV):
GENESIS 35:14-29

14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
*15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Beth-el.*
*16 And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.*
17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
*18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.*
*19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.*
20 And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day.
21 And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.
22 And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:
23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:
24 The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin:
25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:
*26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s handmaid; Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padan-aram.*
27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.
28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.
29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

Prayer Points:

1. Prayer to Establish Pillars of Remembrance:

   • Father, as Jacob set up a stone pillar at Bethel, I pray for the grace to establish spiritual “pillars” in my life—permanent markers of Your promises, past victories, and divine encounters. Help me to remember where You have spoken to me and to regularly pour out my worship (drink offering) and consecration (oil) upon those memories.

   • Lord, let every place in my life where You have met with me become a “Beth-el” (House of God). May my life be a dwelling place for Your presence.

2. Prayer for Strength in Times of Painful Transition:

   • Lord, in seasons of hard labour and painful transition, as Rachel experienced, send Your word of comfort: “Fear not.” Be my midwife in difficult times, assuring me that what I am bringing forth shall live. I pray for strength to endure the process, and for grace to embrace the new thing You are birthing, even through pain.

   • Father, I surrender every “Ben-oni” (son of my sorrow) situation to You. Transform my sorrow into Your purpose and call it “Benjamin” (son of the right hand). Redeem my pain for Your glory.

3. Prayer for Legacy and Godly Heritage:

   • God of Jacob, I pray over my family line. Despite the flaws, sins (like Reuben’s), and grief recorded here, You established the twelve tribes of Israel. I plead the blood of Jesus over my household. Heal our dysfunctions, break generational iniquities, and establish a godly legacy through us. Let my “sons” (natural and spiritual) be numbered among Your covenant people.

   • As Jacob returned to his father Isaac, restore me to a place of generational blessing, honor, and connection. Let there be reconciliation and peace in my family.

4. Prayer for a Life “Full of Days”:

   • Like Isaac, I pray for a life that is “old and full of days.” Grant me longevity with purpose, satisfaction in Your will, and a legacy that endures. Let my end be peaceful, and let my memory be a blessing to generations.

Declarations:

1. I DECLARE that my life is marked with pillars of testimony. Every place of divine encounter is a Bethel, a House of God, where His promises are established and His presence dwells.

2. I DECLARE that in my moments of greatest struggle and “hard labour,” the word of the Lord to me is “FEAR NOT.” What God is birthing through me shall live and be a blessing. My sorrow is transformed into a son of His right hand.

3. I DECLARE that my family is a covenant family. Despite past failures, we are being aligned under God’s promise. We are named, numbered, and destined for purpose. Generational curses are broken, and a legacy of faith is established.

4. I DECLARE that I will complete my journey and fulfill my divine assignments. I will come to my promised place of inheritance and blessing. I am gathered to my people in honor, leaving a full and godly legacy.

5. I DECLARE that, like Isaac, my life will be long, full, and satisfying. I will finish well, surrounded by peace and the respect of those who come after me.
