JOB 42: 1-10

¹ Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
² I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
³ Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
⁴ Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
⁵ I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
⁶ Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
⁷ And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
⁸ Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
⁹ So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
¹⁰ And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

FEBRUARY 20th 2026 PRAYER POINTS AND DECLARATIONS
🔥 DECLARATIONS
(Speak these declarations aloud in faith, according to the Word of the Lord)
¹. I DECLARE that I know that Thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from Thee. (Job 42:2)
². I DECLARE that I repent of every utterance spoken in ignorance; I renounce every word spoken without knowledge, and I receive the wisdom of the Lord. (Job 42:3)
³. I DECLARE that I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth Thee. (Job 42:5)
⁴. I DECLARE that I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes; pride and self-righteousness are removed from me. (Job 42:6)
⁵. I DECLARE that the LORD accepteth me because I am His servant, and I speak that which is right before Him. (Job 42:8-9)
⁶. I DECLARE that the LORD turneth my captivity when I pray for my friends, for my enemies, and for those who have spoken against me. (Job 42:10)
⁷. I DECLARE that the LORD giveth me twice as much as I had before; my latter end is greater than my beginning. (Job 42:10, 12)
¹. ADORATION AND CONFESSION OF GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY
Scripture: “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.” (Job 42:2)
Prayer:
O LORD, Thou art Almighty! There is nothing too hard for Thee. Every thought of mine is naked and open before Thee. I worship Thy majesty and submit my understanding to Thy infinite wisdom. Forgive me, Father, for every season I doubted Thy plan. Thou art God alone, and there is none else. Amen.
². REPENTANCE FOR IGNORANCE AND SELF-JUSTIFICATION
Scripture: “Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not… Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:3, 6)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I humble myself before Thee. Forgive me for the words I have spoken in my pain, for questioning Thy ways, and for justifying myself before Thee. I lay down my pride, my reasoning, and my complaints. I repent in dust and ashes. Cleanse me, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Amen.
³. PRAYER FOR REVELATION AND INTIMACY WITH GOD
Scripture: “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” (Job 42:5)
Prayer:
Lord, I have known Thee by report, by testimony, and by the words of men. But now, I pray, reveal Thyself to me! Let my trial become my testimony; let my darkness become the place where I behold Thy face. Open the eyes of my spirit that I may see Thee as Thou art. Amen.
⁴. PRAYER FOR GRACE TO PRAY FOR ENEMIES AND OFFENDERS
Scripture: “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends.” (Job 42:10)
Prayer:
Father, give me the grace of Job. I release every person who has wounded me, spoken against me, or judged me wrongly. I forgive as I have been forgiven. I lift up those who have despitefully used me. As I pray for them, I believe that my own captivity is turned. Amen.
⁵. PRAYER FOR DOUBLE PORTION RESTORATION
Scripture: “Also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (Job 42:10)
Prayer:
Almighty God, Thou art the God of restoration! I declare that I shall not merely recover what I have lost—I shall receive double! Restore my health, my joy, my peace, my finances, and my family. Let the latter end of my life be greater than the beginning. Let every man, woman, and child see that Thou hast touched me. Amen.
⁶. PRAYER FOR FAMILY AND HOUSEHOLD BLESSING
Scripture: “He had also seven sons and three daughters… And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job.” (Job 42:13, 15)
Prayer:
Lord, bless my household. Let my children be counted among the blessed of the Lord. Let beauty, favour, and inheritance be their portion. Restore every broken relationship in my family. Let peace dwell within my walls. Amen.
⁷. PRAYER FOR A FINISH THAT GLORIFIES GOD
Scripture: “So Job died, being old and full of days.” (Job 42:17)
Prayer:
Father, grant me not long life merely, but a life full of days—full of purpose, full of fruit, and full of Thee. Let me finish my race with joy. Let my end be peace, and let my testimony bring glory to Thy name. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” — Job 42:5 (KJV)
Reflection:
Job knew God before the storm. He was perfect and upright, one who feared God and eschewed evil. Yet there was a dimension of God he had only heard of—until he was tested. Your trial is not your destruction; it is the platform for your revelation. After this, you shall see Him.
CLOSING PRAYER:
O Lord my God, Thou hast brought me to the place of repentance and the place of prayer. I thank Thee that Thou dost accept me, not because of my righteousness, but because of Thy Son. I go forth this day declaring that my captivity is turned, and double is coming. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
